MATSUSHITA

ATSUMI MATSUSHITA , beloved wife of the late Charles Mei, passed away in Lethbridge on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the age of 90 years. She was the loving mother of: Helen (Gerry), Amy (Wayne), Mary (Braum), and Simon. She leaves behind eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She also is survived by sister Miyoko (George), sister-in-law Yoko, and brother Shigeru. Atsumi was born in Tottori-ken, Japan in 1924. She loved her crafts, and excelled in baking, sewing, cooking, and knitting. In 1956 she married Charles. She was a loving mother and wife. Friends and family will gather on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge. Interment in Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge. Koden and flowers are respectfully declined.

    We were so saddened to read of the passing of Mrs. Matsushita. We got to know her at Garden View Lodge, where we stayed when visiting our Mom, Sachi Kishimoto and used to sit with her at breakfast during our visits. She was a lovely lady – a gentle soul, always greeting us with a sparking smile. She will be missed!
