Gail Ann Foster

1956 – 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Ann Foster on June 26, 2015 at the age of 59 years.

Gail was born on March 13, 1956 and graduated from Lethbridge Collegiate Institute in 1975. She attended the Galt School of Nursing in 1977, and nursed for 20 years thereafter, while raising her family and being a part owner of Foster and Sons Jewellers Ltd. Gail loved her family. She embraced and cherished her time and conversations that she shared while fondly living out her role as a mother. She was also a proud grandmother, a loving daughter, a loyal sister, as well as a caring aunt. Gail’s mother, sister, and special niece Megan, will miss their weekly Friday night dinners together.

Gail was an avid gardener, and she spent many memorable summers at Rosen Lake. She was a huge fan of Bon Jovi, and enjoyed many of his concerts alongside thousands of other affectionately screaming women.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all the medical staff of the Cancer Center, and the Palliative Care team during Gail’s courageous battle with breast cancer.

Although her life was cut short, Gail lived every day to the fullest, and during the hard times she would always say “I’ll think about that tomorrow”.

Gail will be forever loved and remembered by her sons; Andrew (Lisa), David, and Robbie Foster; Grandchildren, Zoe and Eli Foster; Mother, Muriel Kirkman; Siblings Terry (Jane) Kirkman, Doug (Gail) Kirkman and Diane (Phil) Hewko.

Gail was predeceased by her father, Walter Kirkman.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, July 2, 2015, at MCKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 15 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend Terry Shillington, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10th Street South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 2M7.
