STRATE
HARRIET R. STRATE, daughter of Ephraim Lawrence Ririe and Mary Elzada Bingham and beloved bride of Fredrick C. Strate of Magrath, passed away in the Raymond Hospital on August 18th, 2015.
She is survived by her children Mona Cluff (Sam), Leota Heaven (John), Rick Strate (Reva), Morgan Strate (Denise), 16 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren; one sister, Keren Benton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by grandsons, Kurt Russell Strate and Shaun Waterfield, by brothers Arnold, James, Bill, and Mark Ririe, and sisters, Elizabeth Bennett, Madge Minor, and Mary Lue Minor.
Harriet was born and spent most of her life in Magrath. She attended secretarial school in Calgary. She married Fred Strate December 6th, 1944. She was active in the LDS Church. She loved to serve. She was proficient in sewing, quilting, cooking, crocheting and knitting. Family was the most important thing to Harriet. She supported her husband, children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren in all of their activities.
Friends may meet the family at the MAGRATH STAKE CENTER on Thursday, August 20th, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or at the Church on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, MAGRATH STAKE CENTER on Friday, August 21st at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the Magrath Cemetery.
