ZOBELL Doris

DORIS LORAINE (STRETCH) ZOBELL

Born March 23, 1922 in Ponoka Alberta. Passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Raymond Alberta, beloved wife of the late John Oliver ZoBell.

Doris was raised on the family farm near Ponoka Alberta moving to Raymond in 1941. Doris married John O ZoBell of Raymond on May 1, 1943. Doris and John were blessed with eight children: Lorraine (Errol) Tewson of White Rock BC, Robert D ZoBell (deceased 1949), John W (Ellen deceased) and (Arlene) ZoBell of Raymond, Kenneth R ZoBell of Cedar City Utah, Dale R and (Susan) ZoBell of Logan, Utah, Gordon L and (Joan) ZoBell of Raymond, Herbert W and (Paige) ZoBell of Thunder Bay Ontario and Richard H ZoBell (deceased 2010). Doris is also survived by 28 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Doris and John lived out their lives on the family farm located west of Raymond. Doris was an active member of the LDS church throughout her married life. She was a lifetime member of the Raymond Hospital Auxiliary. Doris was noted for her service to the disadvantaged, always looking to lift and assist the hands that hang down wherever she could. Doris loved her family, her church and her community. She will be sadly missed by her very large and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, WELLING CHAPEL, with Bishop Randal Wilde officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the Funeral Service on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment to follow at the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
