MARGARET IRENE (PEGGY) DOIG, beloved wife of George, in peace and dignity, returned to the arms of Jesus Friday, August 21, 2015 in Cardston, Alberta.
A life of kindness, love and faith were the framework of her 90 years. . For Peggy her deepest joy came when surround by family and friends.
True to her Irish heritage she enjoyed dancing, fun, laughter and smiles. Selfless by nature Peggy loved to give gifts which often came from her talents in knitting, crafts, shopping and chocolate making.
Peggy regretfully leaves George, her eternal husband of 71 years, sons Lister (Lorraine), Paul (Sheron), (Sharon), daughter Shelley (Hal) Winters, and sister of choice Auddie Taylor. She will be missed by her 4 children, 21 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
To all who remember her she leaves a rich legacy of, faith and devotion to those she loved. She exemplified hard work, cleanliness, poise, kindness, strength and endurance.
In paradise she joins son Ronald, Grandson Bradley Doig, her parents Lister and Ida Maley, her 5 siblings, John Taylor and many others that went before.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Temple Street Chapel, Cardston (355-3rd Street West) on Friday, August 28th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
Friends may meet the family at the Church from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the Service.
Interment will be held in Calgary at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Saturday August 29th at 1:30 pm.
