KARCH

Mr. ROLF KARCH, 91, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Martha Karch, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30th, 2015, at the Good Samaritans – West Highlands in Lethbridge, AB.

Rolf is the loving father of: Rolf (Fran); Elizabeth (Bill); Vic (Karen). Grandchildren & their children: Patti (John), Talya & Allie; Bob (Taunya), Ashley & Ryan; Charlotte (Pat), Andrew (Lisa) & Adrian (Teegan); Tammy (Troy), Tory & Mackenzie; Jennifer (Stan), Paige; Jayme (Chad); Matthew (Joni). Great-great-grandchildren Chase, Carson and Quinn. He was predeceased by: two brothers; Herman and Alfred.

Born, raised, and educated in Bönnigheim, Germany, he came to Kipp in 1954 and farmed with his wife and family. Moving to Lethbridge in 1974, he was a custodian for Canada Post and later the Lethbridge Court House. Upon retiring he loved to travel to his home town in Germany where he visited with family and friends. He was a remarkable man who was dedicated, loyal, and hard-working. We will miss him dearly… “Until we meet again”.

A special thank you to all the staff at Good Samaritans – West Highlands, we appreciate all the care that was given to “Opa”.

A funeral service will be held at the CHRIST TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 416 – 12th Street South, Lethbridge on Thursday, September 3rd, 2015 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Olivier Revelojaona officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Following the interment service, a time of fellowship & refreshments will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home, 2800 – Mayor Magrath Drive South.

    Dear family especially oncle rolf family in canada. Only a few days ago my sister christa told me via skype that oncle rolf has passed away. My and the of my own family here in hong kong and my sons in australia deepest condolances. I remeber his visits to boennigheim earlier together with aunty marta and later by him self. A life liven in der Ferne, however founded a family that is pround and prosperous. I hope we can caech up one day soon. Until then let us not forget our carring parents. Again i also feel that a true part of me has gone away. Away to meet up again with those that walk the earlier path of our families history. G
