1953 – 2015
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Karen Rene Venechuk on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the age of 62 years.
“Some people are so special that whenever they’re around it seems the world is filled with joys just waiting to be found”. Karen was special and spread joy to everyone she met. Karen allowed her strong faith to guide her and worked hard; she proudly retired this year. Karen will be missed dearly by her son Blake; daughter Elaina; granddaughters Ava and Arianna; daughter-in-law Tamiza; son-in-law Nathan; brothers Doug (Maureen) and Bruce (Judy) and sister Rhona (Frank) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Karen saw the best in everyone and will be remembered by friends and relatives.
Karen is predeceased by her mother Marion; father, Stanley; brother Gerry; sister-in-law Renee; nephew Ashley and niece Tamra.
Because of Mothers like Karen, there will always be a special reason to believe in the goodness of God.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at ST. AUGUSTINE’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 411-11 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta with Reverend Andrew Horne, officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Lethbridge YWCA 604 – 8 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

Words cannot express how very sorry I am for your loss.
I had the pleasure of working with Karen for many years.
She was a very proud Mother and Grandmother who spoke of her children and grandchildren often.
I will never forget her smile, her voice, her hugs and her kindness.
She will be fondly remembered always.
