It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of TAKALA ROSE PEARL BAD ARM. She leaves to mourn her father Darcy (Dallas); her siblings, Justine, Montana, Sadie, Patrick, Tayshaun, Dee, Darious, Dalilah; grandparents Craig and Linda Fox; adopted parents David and Beverly Tailfeathers-Maiers; adopted mother Marie Soosay; adopted siblings Dana, Tuffy, Dakota, Colt; uncles Cordelle, Thomas (Kirsten), Joey, CJ (Carlyn), Zack; aunts Emilia, Marlene, Sheryl (Les), Germaine (Greg), Brandi (Bryce), Tamari, and Tina; great grandpa Reggie White Man; great uncles Dennis, Purnell; great aunt Lillian. She is predeceased by her mother Cynthia Bad Arm and her great grandmother Pearline Bad Arm.

Takala attended Cardston school throughout her schooling. Takala had a great passion for horses and also long distance running, a passion that she shared with her brother Montana. Takala was given the Blackfoot name Apookaasii “long distance runner.” Takala shared a special bond with her brother “Monte” and they would trade t-shirts and wear them when they weren’t together. They also finished each other’s sentences. Takala showed her kindness and love through her smile, which will be forever missed by all who knew her.

The Wake Service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Blood Reserve on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Monday, Sept. 21 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
