Mr. Jack Shaw of Milk River, Alberta, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Frances Margaret Shaw, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2015, at the age of 95 years and 10 months. He received excellent care at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital after a sudden fall.

Jack was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was devoted to his wife Margaret of 68 years. Jack was born in Airdrie, Alberta, December 9, 1919, and grew up in Airdrie and Calgary. Jack and Margaret were married May 29, 1944. After Jack returned from overseas they lived in Airdrie where they raised their two daughters. Jack worked with his family on many construction projects. He had a career change in 1959 from building to Construction Inspector for the Alberta Department of Public Works and the University of Calgary. Retirement in 1976 brought them to Milk River. Jack was a craftsman creating many wooden projects to the delight of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid reader, loved camping and a computer buff up until five years ago. He made his home in the Prairie Rose Lodge in Milk River since 2003 until his passing.
