HEGGIE

DALLAS MELAINE (Douglas) HEGGIE, beloved wife of Bruce G. Heggie, passed away in Raymond on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the age of 68 years.

She is the loving mother of Hunter (Carol) of Lethbridge, and Dusty (Ron) Thomson of Raymond. She leaves behind seven grandchildren. Dallas is also survived by her twin sister Alice (Gary) Allred, sister Kim (Rick) Balazs, and brother Kent (Crystal) Douglas.

Dallas was born to Milo and Barbara Douglas on May 30, 1947. She was raised in Raymond. Dallas worked in the meat department of the Raymond Mercantile, and then at the Raymond Care Centre until her retirement. She was always the life of the party! Everyone in town was sure to walk away with a smile after talking to Dallas. She was “One” of a kind! She lived for July 1 and Christmas and always enjoyed having all of her family around and having a big party. Dallas loved outdoor activities, including gardening, tending to her flowers, and golfing through the years.

A special thank-you to all the nurses, staff, and volunteers at the Raymond Health Centre.

Dallas will be always loved and truly missed.

Friends may meet the family on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the LDS – Raymond Stake Centre, or prior to the funeral service on Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation, Attn: Sue Lomas, 200 Capri Isles Blvd. Suite 7F, Venice, Florida 34202. Dallas’ grandson, Cooper, is currently living daily with this condition.
