Anthony “Tony” Trofanenko
February 26, 1928 – January 12, 2016
“I admired the beauty while I was human, now I am part of the beauty”
With his loving wife always by his side, Tony passed away at his home after a difficult illness. Left to cherish his life and memory are his wife of nearly 45 years Carol, his children Wanda, Ryan (Lori), and Suzanne, and his grandchildren Markus, Audrey, Lynnae, and Anthony.
As well, Tony is survived by his brother Andy (Faye), and his sister Lucy (Tom) and many extended family members.
Aside from his parents, Tony was predeceased by eight siblings and their spouses, two grand nephews, his mother and father-in-law, and four brothers-in-law.
Tony greatly enjoyed all of the beautiful places across Southern Alberta, all its mountains, lakes and heritage sites. He happily shared his love of the outdoors with his wife, children and grandchildren.
A true farmer to his core, Tony will often be fondly remembered by those who loved him as a quiet man working on his land.
At his request, there is no funeral service. A private family gathering has been planned.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to the charity of their choice.
