SCHROTER, Gloria Dawn

September 6, 1952 – Edmonton, Alberta

April 19, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sorrow that the family of Gloria Dawn Schroter announce her passing at the age of 63 years, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. She was surrounded by her loving husband Rob, and two children Chad and Tayah.

Gloria was a bright light that lit up the world around her. She loved spending time in her beautiful garden, travelling the world, listening to music and supporting arts and culture in the community. She was the most precious mother a child could ask for, a loving wife and a dear friend to many. Her joyful, loving, free spirit will always be remembered and deeply cherished.

Fly free sweet angel. We know you’re dancing in heaven and sprinkling magic everywhere you go. We will live in your honour, spreading kindness and compassion throughout the world and living each day to the fullest, just as you always did.

Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her husband Rob Lemorande; son Chad Schroter-Gillespie; daughter Tayah Almond (Greg); mother Vera Schroter; brother Perry Schroter (Kathy); sister Deborah Zucchelli (Reno); sister Darlene Moroz (Terry); and her numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her father Albert George Schroter and sister Patricia Cook (Grant).

A Celebration of Gloria’s Life will be held in the summer months for family and friends. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In place of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rob Lemorande (rob.lemorande@shaw.ca), with all proceeds going to The National Music Centre, as Gloria requested. A heart felt thank you to all of Gloria’s friends and co-workers at the Rockyview General Hospital. Your love and support over the last few months has meant so much to Gloria and her family.

In living memory of Gloria Schroter, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Park Memorial, 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W. Calgary, AB, T2S 2L5, Telephone: 1-800-661-1599

Aunt Vera, Rob, Chad and Tayah sorry for your loss. Gloria will be missed, as my cousin that was only 27 days younger we spent a lot of time together when we were kids. Her smile will always be in my heart as a warm reminder of our younger days.
