Shirley Anne Vargo

The Vargo family are extremely sad to announce the passing of their
amazing Wife , Mother & Grandmother , Shirley Anne Vargo (Capron) on
June 2nd, 2016 in Okotoks, Alberta.
Shirley was born on June 26th, 1947 in Bellevue, Alberta to Mary
and Alphonse Capron. She moved to Lethbridge , Alberta and attended
Winston Churchill High School. Shirley was an A+ student and a proud
member of the Winston Whizbangs. Shirley graduated from the University
of Lethbridge, earning her teaching degree and then returned to Winston
Churchill High School as a French teacher. On June 27th, 1970 she
married her high school sweetheart Robert Vargo. In 1974 they moved to
Fort McMurray , Alberta where they raised their three children . Robert
started and ran Alberta Motor Products on Franklin Avenue for 41 years
with Shirley always supporting him. Shirley loved her family and could
always be counted on for a homemade card and hand decorated cake. Other
things Shirley loved were arts and crafts, travel, gardening, all things
sweet and Saturday garage sales. Her quick wit, sense of humor,
incredible strength, courage and contagious smile among so many other
amazing qualities will always be remembered.
Shirley is survived by her loving and devoted husband Robert, her
three children: Jason (Clarissa) , Lisa (Scott) and Rhonda (Chad); and
three grandchildren: Jakob, Kate and Robbi.

Lights Regional Heath Foundation ( Fort McMurray Hospital).
* She Lived * She Laughed * She Loved *
Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us everyday,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved , still missed and very dear .

In Loving Memory of Shirley Anne Vargo
