JONES, LILLIAN GLADYS
JULY 31, 1910 – JULY 11, 2016
Lillian passed away peacefully at Chinook Care Centre, where she was affectionately known as “Lily”, on Monday, July 11, just shy of turning 106. She was such a beautiful and elegant lady, admired by all who knew her. Heaven has become a more beautiful place with her presence. Lovingly remembered by daughter Gail; daughter-in-law Elaine; grandchildren: Darren (Katja), Daniel (Kristi), Sandra (James), and Karen; and great grandchildren: Christopher, Veronica and Melissa. She is also survived by her sisters Alma, Morna, Betty, Lynette, Dorothy, and Darlene; and many nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Murl; son Ron; sisters Ellen, Estelle and Nina; and brother Clarence. Services will be held in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home (1605 – 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to the Calgary Humane Society, 4455 – 110 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB T2C 2T7 (www.calgaryhumane.ca).
