Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice. Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Jenny Kooiker (nee Prummel) Beloved wife and best friend of John Kooiker for almost 46 years, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the age of 65 years. She collaborated on the book written about the history and people of Coalhurst, and had wonderful memories of the people she interviewed. She had a great passion for writing as well as artwork. Her true joys of her life were her family; her husband, kids and grandkids. Besides her loving husband, Jenny is survived by her much loved children, Otto (Tracy) Kooiker, and Cindy (Joe) Widmer. The joys of her life, her grandchildren, will miss her dearly. Her oldest grandson Colton and his sister Kayla; her granddaughter Trinity and her brother Teal’c. The Slomp family was always very important to her. They were always there when you needed them, and she cherished every one.
