Our sweet mother was born in Didsbury AB to Frank & Jenny Zurawel on July 30, 1923; the eldest of five children with Mary (deceased), Olga (deceased), Tom (deceased) and Rose.

Mom has gone home but left us with a bounty of awesome memories. As teens she would sing and dance with us and our friends. She was there when we returned home from a date, no matter how late, to hear the details. She smiled, giggled or laughed with abandonment at the slightest provocation. It was common to hear her adages ringing throughout the home; you little monkey, listen here buster, who wants a treat, oh Winst, and oi boze me. Mom’s hands were rarely still with cooking and baking at the top of her list. She also loved to garden, travel and keep a tidy home. Our mother was a beautiful woman who enjoyed dressing to the nines; she never left the house without looking like a million bucks. She was generous, selfless and kept the home fires burning for anyone who needed her for anything. She was everyone’s friend. Mom was our biggest cheerleader supporting us in anything we chose to do. She expressed often in the last few months that she was ready to go home. She was well loved. Mom married her sweetheart, Winston L Gregson (deceased) on Sept 28, 1943 in Cardston AB. They had five children; Jean (Jim Bambrick), Robert (Luba), Shirley (Al Takasaki), Ron (Joyce) and Allan (Shirley). Her grandchildren are as follows. Robert has Lisa, Catherine and Court. Shirley has Trina, Bren and Richele. Ron has Jason and Christopher. Allan has Lynaea, Wayne, Laurel, Amy, Emily, Spencer (deceased) and Tiffany. She has 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A private family funeral will be held on Friday.
