WEBER

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing away of WENDELIN “WENDEL” WILLIAM WEBER. Wendel passed away on May 17, 2017 at the age of 68 at home with his wife by his side. Wendel is survived by his loving wife Brenda, daughter, Treeva Brown; son Thad Weber and best friend Greg MacPherson. He is also survived by six brothers and two sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Wendel was predeceased by his father, Vincent Weber, mother, Magdalena Weber, two sisters Beatrice and Freida and one infant brother Anthony.

Wendel was born on October 20, 1948 in Wilkie, Saskatchewan.

He was a Cub Leader for over 17 years, time which he enjoyed teaching the boys outdoor survival. Wendel later was an active Navy League Cadet Officer. He was still currently active in the Hockey Hound organization.

Wendel worked for over 25 years at Kerber Floors, where he developed many friendships, especially with John and Don.

He was a kind caring compassionate man who would give a helping hand to anyone in need. His heart was as big as his size 15 shoes. Wendel was a collector of many unique objects such as liquor bottles, coins, pins, Kinder toys and antiques. Wendel also enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with friends. He especially enjoyed the yearly camping trip to Kalispell doing bar hops and pawn shopping. Wendel loved all kinds of animals. He fulfilled his life long dream of taking an Alaskan Cruise with his wife and best friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Brenda’s home, 2207 22 Avenue, Coaldale, Alberta on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Cremation entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made in Wendel’s name to The Hockey Hounds – 1213 Lakemount Place South, Lethbridge, AB, T1K 6R7.
