PRATT

MR. KENNETH JOHN PRATT, beloved husband of the late Marilyn Pratt, passed away in Lethbridge on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the age of 66 years. Ken was born July 4, 1950 in Lethbridge, Alberta, son of John and Dixie Pratt. In 1974 he married his sweetheart Marilyn in the Cardston Alberta Temple. They shared a beautiful and sacred marriage for 37 years until Marilyn passed away suddenly on January 5, 2012. We can’t help but smile at the thought of them being reunited again in heaven. They are the parents of Kurtis (Alexis), Shauna and grandparents to Kira, Elaina, Aurora and Ginger who are the light and joy of their lives. Ken was predeceased by his father in 2013 and his father/mother in law Edward in 1993 and Inez in 1998. He is survived by his sister, Beverly (Dave) and by Marilyn’s family; Calvin (Marlene 2014), Joyce, Edith (Kusty), Elaine (Art 2013), Eva (Charlie), Linda (Edward), Sandra 2017, and Ronald (Cindy). Ken cherished his role as a husband to his eternal soulmate and as a father to his children. He took special interest in his grandchildren and there were few things he enjoyed more than spending time with them. He loved westerns, watching his children and grandchildren play sports and anything to do with Scotland, especially listening to bagpipes. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and greatly enjoyed serving those around him with his big smile and loving heart. He has left a legacy that his posterity and friends will seek to emulate throughout their lives and the world will be a better place because of his memory. Friends may meet the family on Friday, June 9 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, or prior to the funeral service on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. at the church. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, NORTHSIDE CHAPEL, 2223-6A. Ave. North, Lethbridge, with Bishop Aric Pavan officiating. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
