Stella was born on the family farm north of Magrath and received her education at the Farm Hill School. The family later moved to the River Bottom community under the High Level Bridge, before residing in North Lethbridge. Stella married Bud December 22, 1947 and raised their five children who were always so well taken care of, and loved.
Stella was an active member of the Raymond United Church, attending each Sunday up until a few years ago. She loved her church family.
For the last five years Stella resided at the Prairie Ridge Good Samaritans where all of the staff became an extension of her family. Thank you so much for treating her like she was yours. You made her feel like this was home. There are not words enough to thank the Raymond Health Centres Dr’s, nurses, L.P.N.’s, H.C.A.’s, kitchen, housekeeping, Physio, and clerks for not only caring for Stella but for the way you showed your love and concern for her. Her stay was long and kind words were always said about you all. She would want “just abit” of extra thanks to Dr. Marc Ascionne and Dr. Regan Steed.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 11.00 a.m. at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, Taylor Street Chapel. Highway 52 West, Raymond, Alberta. Friends may meet the family from 10.00 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment to follow at the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, Alberta.
