She studied in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan where she met her husband Arcadius Wilfrid Perron.
Edna trained and practiced as a teacher and nurse before moving to Winnipeg to raise her family. The family divided their time between Winnipeg and their cottage on Lake Manitoba. During the last quarter of her long life, she lived in Lethbridge to be close to the majority of her family.
Edna was a kind, funny and caring individual who always had time for others. She was a strong and independent thinker who encouraged individualism and personal responsibility in others. Edna loved reading, playing bridge and spending time with her family, especially doting on her grandchildren. Her faith was an integral part of her life and the person she was. Edna lived a long and happy life. Throughout her years, Edna continued to be friendly, compassionate and loving and will be dearly missed by those whose lives she touched.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Edith Cavell Care Centre for their compassionate assistance in Edna’s time of need. Special thanks to Dr. Bernadette Pahulje for the support, care and kindness she showed Edna over the years.
