ANDERSON

GLENN LEROY ANDERSON, beloved husband of 54 years to Pat Anderson of Lethbridge, passed away surrounded by his loved ones at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the age of 77 years from the terrible disease of pulmonary fibrosis as a non-smoker.

He is the loving father of Linda Anderson and Michael (Sabine) Anderson. He will be remembered by his sisters, Doreen Trapp, Gladys Christensen, Janette (Perry) Porter and Jolayne (Doug) Lyons and his brothers, Lloyd (Gill) Anderson and Plenny (Betty) Anderson as well as sisters-in-law Barbara Anderson and Sandi (Luell) Perrett, aunts Lucille Leavitt and Martha Silsbe, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Heidi DeHeer, and great grandchildren, Tyler (Daija), Mackenzie and Riley DeHeer and grandson Randy Sera.

Glenn was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Anderson, granddaughter Shannon Sera, parents Lydia and Clarence Anderson and brothers-in-law Lloyd Trapp and Skeez Christensen.

Dad was always a farmer at heart and had the earliest green and best looking lawn in the city. He loved going camping each year with Mum hauling the “big rig” trailer around Southern Alberta, BC and the U.S. He enjoyed putting up the new addition to the Christmas lights Mum bought each year and made sure Linda had lights up on her house each year. Dad was always tinkering with his electronics in the house, reconfiguring his TV set up; figuring out the new component and creating many DVD slideshows of birthday party photos along with the inspiring music. Dad would never want to miss the Wednesday morning council coffee meeting, solving all the problems in the world. He loved his desserts, passing along the “Cookie Monster” trait to Michael. He loved his country music and played it so much that it almost drove us crazy. He was able to spend some great time in Arizona with Mum, Michael and Sabine before the awful disease took over. He loved to puppy sit Elmo, Einstein and Abey any chance he got. Right to the end, he tried to help Michael with the new deck boards and Linda with her yard work. We all love and deeply miss Dad.
