May Ann Gollinger (Meers)

June 10, 1960 – August 11, 2017

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother. She passed away peacefully in the Milk River hospital with family by her side.

May is survived by her daughter Laura Gollinger and son Garrett Gollinger; sister Mary (Ray) and their children Ryan and Eric Green.

May enjoyed being a wife and mother. Her daily rituals consisted of walking and her love to knit; both were very therapeutic to her. Many people near and far received her generous knitted socks or a lesson in knitting. She made many friends in the fibre world – they bonded on their love of travel and the search for exquisite yarns took them around the world.

She is predeceased by her parents Clarence and Beryl Meers and husband Terrence Patrick Gollinger.

Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Milk River Health Centre, 517 Centre Avenue, Milk River, Alberta T0K 1M0.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

One Condolence for “GOLLINGER, May Ann”

  1. Vivian O'Hara says:

So very sorry for the loss of your dear mother. Your Mom got me going walking using the walking sticks. I had high hopes this winter asking her if she would teach me to knit socks as I had bought a pair last winter and they fit like a glove and were so nice and warm. I’m sorry about never having that chance again. She was a lovely soul. I loved visiting with her when we ran into each other on our separate walks. She had the most beautiful complexion.
She was very proud of both of you.

My heart is with you. I will think about her on my walks and pray she has found peace.
    Sincerely , Vivian
