1946 – 2017

Mrs. Judy Anne Peta of Coalhurst, beloved wife of Mr. Bill Peta, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the age of 71 years.

Judy was very passionate about helping people in need. Judy and her husband Bill opened the very first open custody home in Lethbridge for young offenders. She was a devoted advocate for fostering children and ran a foster home for 25 years with her husband. Judy loved to travel, she spent summers camping and always had time for shopping and hunting for a good deal.

Judy is survived by her children Shane Peta, Tateum (Denise) Peta, and Conrad Peta; grandchildren Mackenzie Fleming-Peta, Bayliegh Fleming-Peta and Logan Peta; brothers Darryl Mich Bergman and Randy Mich.

An Inurnment Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday August 25, 2017 at ST. PATRICK’S CEMETERY, 525 6th Avenue North, Lethbridge, followed by an informal reception which will be held at Judy’s home, on her deck.
