RHONDA ISABEL PAYNE, of Lethbridge, passed away on Wednesday, August 30th, 2017, at the age of 55 years after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

She is survived by sons, Wes (Amy) Payne of Fort Saskatchewan, Chris Payne of Fort Saskatchewan, daughter, Amanda (Chris) Payne of Hinton, four grandchildren, Brandon Parker, Brydon Payne, Alyanna Payne and Bentley Payne, her mother, Isabella Kana of Coaldale, sister, Rita (Keith) Longacre of Millet, brother, Greg (Brenda) Kana of Calgary, as well as nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by grandparents, Iver and Clara Kana, Anton and Frances Herbst, her dad, Norman Kana, uncle Gerald Herbst, uncle John Vesely and aunt Edna Webber.

Rhonda grew up in southern Alberta. From a young age she loved animals and going for a ride on a horse. She enjoyed gardening and at a later age she took art courses where she found a love of painting and drawing. She also enjoyed crocheting.

In memory of Rhonda, contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 724 – 13th Street North, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1H 2T1.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Reverend Bob Wallace officiating. A time of fellowship & refreshments will follow.

    I’m so sorry… my thoughts are with her family. Rhonda was such an energetic and spunky personality; she will be missed by many.
