CALDWELL

AMBER DAWN CALDWELL, loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away suddenly and returned to her Heavenly Father on September 24, 2017.

Amber was born on November 17, 1981 in Bow Island AB. She was a beautiful and happy red headed baby and her older siblings always doted on her. Being the youngest girl in a house full of boys, she learned at an early age to be tough. She was full of courage and had no trouble getting after her siblings. She had determination and fire and lived life to the fullest. Amber attended school in Bow Island until Grade 9 after which she then moved with her family to Fort Macleod. Amber graduated from high school at FP Walsh in Ft. Macleod in 2000.

Amber had many talents that gave her the opportunity to have many varied and interesting experiences throughout her life. She worked at a deli, a glass shop, she cooked and cleaned in work camps, she traveled throughout Canada building grain bins. Amber even had the rare opportunity to work in a carnival. After she moved to Lethbridge she began working with disabled clients helping them in their homes this was an excellent fit for Amber because of her great capacity for love.

Amber loved quilting, astrology and animals, especially cats, wolves and butterflies. Amber had a beautiful voice and loved sharing her talent of singing with her friends and family. She also loved babies and could always be found cuddling and singing to them.

Amber was a loyal and loving friend. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for the people in her life. She was generous and kind and loved by all who knew and associated with her.

She had an amazing capacity to love and was a great example of unconditional love.

Amber went by many different nicknames throughout her lifetime. Each of them describes the beautiful and unique individual that she was.

Boo Boo was her favorite. She was the auntie that nieces and nephews loved and adored. She only had to walk into a room and dozens of kids would flock to her arms for their turn at a Boo Boo hug. The kids knew if mom and dad said no Boo Boo would say Yes!

Amber’s capacity and generous love was not just given to her family but to all those she became friends with. Amber was an auntie and mother to many through the friendships she developed. She loved kids and they loved her.

Butterflies to Amber were a symbol of freedom and beauty, her love of Butterflies earned her the nickname Butterfly, it became a part of who she was. She was beautiful inside and out. She was strong willed and knew her own mind. Despite her struggles her heart and spirit remained golden.

Amber was loved and adored by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed. Amber is survived and loved by her parents Louis and Glenna Caldwell, siblings, Kirk (Gayle) Caldwell, Candice (Dexter) Durfey, Clint (Ginger) Caldwell, Jared (Carolyn) Caldwell, Abe (Lana) Caldwell and Josh (Amber) Caldwell and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may meet the family at the Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Sunday, October 1st from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or at the Church from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the Service.

The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Center, 846 1st Ave W, Cardston, Alberta on Monday, October 2nd, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.

Interment to follow in the Cardston Cemetery.
