ALICE ROSS PETA (ALLY), beloved wife of the late Les Peta, passed away peacefully in Lethbridge on November 24, 2017 at the age of 98 years. Ally was born on November 29, 1918 in Warner Alberta and was the youngest of seven children. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Melody, Mark, grandson Travis and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her two brothers and four sisters and brother-in-laws. Ally was in the education field for 35 years. She taught at various schools in Alberta and the U.S. with the last 19 years at Galbraith Teaching grade 1 before retiring in 1983. She enjoyed her winters in Arizona, playing cards, reading and loved to be at the family farm. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday December 2, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, 10th Avenue Chapel, 1912 10 Ave S, Lethbridge. Interment to follow at the Warner Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Friday December 1, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at SALMON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 433 Stubb Ross Road South Lethbridge (entrance to the airport), or prior to the funeral service on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers, those who wish, may make a donation to the Jack Ady Cancer Centre 960 – 19 St. South, Lethbridge Alberta, T1J 1W5

    Mrs. Peta was my first grade teacher in 1973. She taught me and my three siblings and we all have good memories of her. She was the first introduction to school for those of us before universal kindergarten. She taught me to read and that has bloomed my life.
