EDWARD MYKYTIUK, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully with his beloved wife of 26 years, Donna, by his side on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at St. Michael’s Health Centre – Palliative Care Unit at the age of 77 years after his battle with cancer.
Besides his loving wife Donna, Ed also leaves behind his one brother Melvin (Rhonda) Mykytiuk; his children Shana Reeder, Greg (Arlene) Mykytiuk, Shaylene (Karlo) Cernetic, Jill (Bruce) Cassidy and Blayne Thomas; his grandchildren Katee (Reeder) Kowalchuk, Brandon and Ally Reeder, Samantha Mykytiuk, Keeley and Bradley Cernetic and Brennan and Sarah Cassidy; as well as partners in crime Ron (Twyla) Hleucka and Ron (Bea) Joevenazzo.
Ed was born June 28, 1940 to Nick and Stella Mykytiuk in Lethbridge, where he lived until he moved to Edmonton and Calgary as an adult. He returned home to Lethbridge in 1980. Before retirement, Ed was a letter carrier with Canada Post for 13 years.
Ed was the happiest when surrounded by his kids and grandchildren, camping with friends or having weekly coffee with friends he grew up with.
At Ed’s request, there will be no formal funeral service. A Celebration of Ed’s Life will be held at the EAGLES HALL, 631 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge, Alberta on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 2:00 P.M to 4:00 P.M.
