KNECHT

ANNIE KNECHT, beloved wife of Ed Knecht, passed away peacefully with family at her side on February 10, 2018.

Annie was born February 27, 1932 in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1949. In 1951, she started to work as a Nurse’s Aide at the Moose Jaw Hospital. She then met Ed, marrying in 1961 and moving to Ed’s family farm outside of Spring Valley, Saskatchewan. Together, they raised their family, then retired in 1980 and moved to Lethbridge. Annie was a hard worker on the farm and continued to work at a variety of jobs in Lethbridge to keep busy.

Along with her loving husband Ed, Annie is survived by her children who she loved dearly: Judy (Bruce), Tim (Vanessa), Janet (Craig), Jeff (Bonnie) and Brian (Andrea); her cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Stephanie, Kassidy, Brayden, Dawson, and Sarah, and beloved sisters Marie (twin), Zita and Irma. Annie enjoyed life and will be sorely missed.

At Annie’s request, a Private Memorial Service was held with Pastor Nathan Fuehrer officiating. A special thank you to Pastor Fuehrer for his kind words of support and to the doctors and nurses who provided care to Annie. Flowers graciously declined.
