NEWTON, RuthPosted: February 27th, 2018
Mrs. Ruth Mary Newton of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Noelin Newton, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the age of 92 years.
Noelin and Ruth were married in Foremost, Alberta on December 17, 1946 and recently had celebrated 71 years of marriage. They settled on the farm at Skiff, where they raised their four sons. In 1977, they retired to Lethbridge.
In the former years, Mom was very active in her church and the Skiff community. She will be remembered for her enduring positive outlook on life, her knitting and countless meals at home for friends and family gatherings and for meals taken “to the field” during busy harvest season.
Mom will be sadly missed by Dad and her boys and their extended families, missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
Besides her loving husband Noelin, Ruth is survived by four sons, Don (Linda) Newton and their children, Tara (Dwayne) McLaren and Robyn (Kevin) Todd; Dean (Edie) Newton and their children, Jodi Newton, Niki (Darin) Neufeld, Carol Newton, Chance Newton and Ladean Newton; Phil Newton; and Murray (Tracy) Newton and their children, Janay (Dean) Harrang and Daniel (Brittany) Newton. She was also survived by seven cherished great grandchildren.
