SEWARD

CLAUDETTE SEWARD beloved wife of the late Dale Seward, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2018 at the age of 84. She leaves to mourn her passing, five children, Richard (Jenny), David (Mona Rae), Brian (Wendy), Shari (Chris) Wehlage and Kevin (Tammy); 17 Grandchildren, 16 Great grandchildren. Her sister Kathy (Greg) Wellman and 3 sister in-laws Evelyn (Alan) Mckay, Beverly Hayes and Judy English. She was predeceased by: Parents Hall & Ila Poulsen, in-laws Earl and Nellie Seward and Brother Doran Poulsen. Claudette was born June 14, 1933 in Magrath, Alberta. She graduated from Magrath High School and then attended Calgary Normal School faculty of Education. She married Dale Seward in 1952, they moved to south of Foremost where they farmed for the next 40 years. In 1992 Dale and Claudette retired and moved to a small farm in the Coaldale area. Claudette was actively involved in LDS church and held many callings such as the Family history center, the Bishop Store house, Scouts Leader, Relief Society and various other roles. Claudette thoroughly enjoyed travelling with family and friends. Her hobbies included reading and genealogy. Claudette enjoyed her life and gained her fulfilment as a Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, totally devoted to the wants and needs of her family. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Funeral Services will be held in THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, COALDALE CHAPEL 2216 – 21a Ave, Coaldale, at 11:00 am Saturday March 24, 2018. Friends are welcome to meet with the family at the church prior to the service from 10:15 to 10:45 am. Memorial donations can be made to the Lethbridge Family History Center at 1912 10 Ave South, T1K 0B7.
