SELK

DONALD “CLARK” SELK “checked-in to this world” on July 9, 1948 in Pincher Creek. He “checked-out of this world”  on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the St. Michael’s Health Centre – Palliative Care Unit at the age of 69 years.

Clark has joined his son, Brad, and his parents, Gene & Evelyn, as well as many others who left before him.

He is glad to be survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda, his daughter, Rhonda (Matt) Wolske of Calgary, his daughter-in-law, Tanya Selk of Swift Current, SK and his grandchildren, Hailey & Carter Wolske and Lucas Selk.

Clark lived most of his life in Milk River and worked as an electrician until his retirement. He was an artistic man and displayed his talents through many different outlets such as playing guitar and singing, carving wood, and constantly learning to sharpen his mental history book. He was a lover of all jokes and his sense of humour was especially second-to-none. He cherished all coffee and happy hour sessions and never shied away from a social gathering. Most importantly, his love for his grandchildren and all other children was immeasurable and he would often tease them or call them by anything but their names; “Maynard Gumbutt” or “Gomer Pile” to list a couple.

A Prayer Service will be held at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 301 Main Street N.W., Milk River, AB on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. with Father Benedicto Tugano IV officiating.

A Memorial Mass will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Benedicto Tugano IV celebrating.

In lieu of flowers and in remembrance of Clark, donations may be made to the Milk River Health Centre, 517 Centre Avenue N.E., Milk River, AB T0K 1M0.

Since Clark loved being with his family and friends, his family asks that you buy a coffee for a friend and enjoy a good joke and B.S. session in his memory.
