Valerie Anne Griffin

25 January 1955 – 7 May, 2018

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3

Valerie Griffin passed away 7 May, 2018, aged 63. She will be lovingly remembered by her family. She leaves behind two sons, Laurence Griffin (with his wife Lyndsay, and their sons Ashton and Lyric) and Mark Griffin; two sisters, Beverley Rayner and Annette Lanoue, and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Fernley Rayner, and her brother Lawrence.

Valerie was born in England and immigrated to Canada in 1979. She lived in Sicamous BC where she had her family, later moving to Vernon BC and then to Lethbridge.

Valerie was a committed Christian. She loved the Lord, and her faith was the firm foundation of all she did. She was loving, generous, and kind to all who knew her. Despite her own limited resources she found ways to bless others she knew, giving without reservation.

She’ll be missed and lovingly remembered.

  2. Rosalyn ROGERS says:

Only just found this sad post after searching for Val for many years. We worked together as UK dental nurses in 1970s and attended each other’s weddings. A valued friendship was formed and she was often in my thoughts after losing touch in 1982. My heartfelt condolences go to her family who were blessed to have such a wonderful person x
