MORDEN

DALE WESLEY MORDEN passed away during the early morning of Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Lethbridge at the age of 75 years, following a resilient five-year fight against cancer.

Dale was born to George “Buster” and Sara Morden on March 3, 1943, and he is survived by his wife, Ingrid, along with his children, Karen (Mark), Michael (Traci and grandchildren Zachary, Reid, and Beck), Carisa, Chris, and Tim (Chelsey).

Throughout his life, Dale was a farmer and a dedicated educator, spending 36 years working as a principal within Lethbridge School District #51 and impacting the lives of students and colleagues throughout his career before retiring and continuing to devote his time to farming.

He will be forever remembered for his kind and humble nature, his strength and work-ethic, his ability to talk to anyone, his near Jeopardy-level wealth of knowledge, and particularly for his dedication to his family as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Special thanks to Dr. Shukkoor, Dr. Brigden, and the caring and compassionate staff at Jack Ady Cancer Centre, 4C, and Palliative Care.

A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held at MCNALLY COMMUNITY CENTRE, Township Road 82, Lethbridge, Alberta on Saturday, July 7, 2018 between 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on a drop-in basis.

It is very sad to hear about Dale’s passing. He was a great man to work with and gave me my first teaching position in Lethbridge. The year end parties and baseball games were the best. I always enjoyed talking to him about farming . I will cherish the memories of the time we had together.
I wish the best for all the family he left behind and look forward to see you all soon.
