1936 – 2018
HARTLEY PHILLIPS, beloved husband of Marlene Phillips, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the age of 81 years.
He is survived by Marlene, his loving wife of 53 years; sons Cordell (Karen) and Carvel (Gaye); grandsons Brydon and Cameron, three special great-granddaughters Emma, Bristol and Lily. He is also survived by his sister Lucinda, three brothers-in-law and their spouses as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents Ella and Walter, his brother Lewis, brother-in-law Gordon, and his grandson Keagan.
Hartley was lifelong member of Barons Elks, and had stories that would take a lifetime to hear. Hartley had a great desire for sports, especially baseball and curling. His kids spent many hours in their early years at the ball diamonds and curling rinks. Throughout these events in his life he ended it with a great variety of friends that will remember him by his great sense of humour.
Hartley will be greatly missed by everyone!
A Celebration of Hartley’s Life will be held at the BARONS COMMUNITY HALL, 210 Main Street, Barons, AB on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 1:00 P.M.
