Delia Parcon Plantinos, 73, of Barangay Dapitan, Pototan Iloilo, Philippines passed away on June 10, 2018 in Olds, Alberta due to a tragic accident. Delia was born in Bgy, Dapitan, Pototan, Iloilo, Philippines to Martin and Rosalie Parcon. (deceased). She grew up in Pototan where she met her loving husband Florencio “Nono” Plantinos (deceased). “Nanay Del” and “Nono” were blessed with three children, Mae (Steven Aparri), Allan (Shielamae) and Ellen (Leo-deceased). Delia was a dedicated housewife to her husband and caring and dedicated mother to her children. She loved cooking and was very hospitable; countless people enjoyed the delicious meals and fellowship/visiting in her home. Her strong sense of family influenced her to come and visit her daughter, Ellen and family in Lethbridge, AB. During her visit, a tragic accident occurred that ended her life and her son-in-law at the same time. Delia was predeceased by her late spouse, “Nono”. She is survived by her three children: Mae, Allan, and Ellen; son-in-law, Steve; daughter-in-law, Shielamae; and grandchildren: Kate, Aliesha Mae, Theo, and Tristan. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 28, 2018 and Friday, June 29, 2018 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, with Father Kevin Tumback, presider. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Ellen personally, or to the GoFundMe page set up for Ellen and her two children, Theo and Tristan. The family would like to thank everyone, especially the Lethbridge Filipino Community, who in one way or another have come to help us during this sorrowful time.
