1920 – 2018

Mrs. Alma Severtson of Lethbridge, formerly of Enchant, beloved wife of the late Mr. Harry Severtson, passed away at Good Samaritans Park Meadows on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the age of 98 years. Alma was born on April 28, 1920 in Enchant, where she was raised and educated. She came from a large family, one brother and nine sisters and was the only one who stayed in Enchant. She married the love of her life Harry on September 24, 1941 and together they started farming and raising their kids. She was a very active member in the community and very involved with the Lutheran Church. Alma loved to sew, crochet, read, bake and loved spending time with her family; this gave her the greatest joy. She made many good friends in Enchant and Lethbridge and she was also a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandma, and sister. Alma is survived by her children Harvey (Sandy), Clarence (Brenda), Linda (Reg) Comstock, Trudy (Ted) Feller, Dennis, Rick (Cindy); grandchildren Lori, Jennifer, Brad (Paige), Craig, Stephen (Shana), Michelle (Craig), Mark, Chelsea, Jackie (Brad), Sherry (Rob), Kristie (Rob); 17 great-grandchildren; sisters Morna, Betty, Lyn (Ken), Dot, Darlene; sister-in-law Pearl; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her loving husband Harry, Alma was predeceased by two infant children Keith and Brian; her parents Magnus and Emma Howg; one brother Clarence; sisters Ellen, Lillian, Estelle and Nina. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 5:00pm and 7:00pm on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at MARTIN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, 610-4th Street South, Lethbridge, AB. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at ENCHANT COMMUNITY HALL, 127 Center Street, Enchant, AB with viewing one hour prior. Cremation entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels. For those who wish, memorial donations in Alma’s name may be made to the Enchant Seniors Citizens Centre, Centre Street, Enchant, Alberta, T0K 0V0.
