Our dear mother, grandmother and friend to many, ADRIENNE AUGUSTA DEVLIN, beloved wife of the late John Devlin, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the age of 94 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Ralph (Marie Claire) Robert Embury and their families.
Mom was born and raised in Belgium. She met and married a Canadian soldier in WWII and migrated to Canada as a War Bride. She loved Canada and everything it had to offer. In the late 60s she married John and they enjoyed a few years together until his passing in the 70s. She worked for many years as a hostess at Sven Erickson’s Family Restaurant and retired from there in 1989. Mom was fortunate to live with good health and resided in her own home till moving to Martha’s House in 2005. She was proud to be one of the original inhabitants of that wonderful place and loved her time there with staff and fellow residents.
Our family would like to thank the amazing and wonderful staff on Unit 5A of the Chinook Regional Hospital for their compassionate care.
As per mom’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Cremation is entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home.
