Mr. Harold Sturm of Lethbridge passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the age of 90 years. Harold was born to Alice and Ben Sturm in 1928. He worked for 34 years for the Lethbridge Post Office as a Mail Carrier. In that time, he made many friends and was very well known in the community. Harold had a lot of interests, he loved dancing, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., the Rat Pack and Big Band music. He was a very talented dancer on ice skates and roller skates. Harold spent a lot of his time outdoors, fishing and camping, he also loved going to hockey games. Harold also coached hockey, Lacrosse with Colin and Douglas. He enjoyed travelling to Blaine Lake, Kalispell, Montana with his family for many years. He was an Elk member for 25 years and made a lot of friends and acquaintances through that. Harold is survived by his daughter Renee (Timothy) Dunne; two sons, Douglas Sturm (Karen Bauer) and Colin Sturm (Shelley Powlesland); son-in-law Doug Lundeen; his grandchildren, Patrick Lundeen (Bree Apperley), Stacy (Caroline) Lundeen, Charlotte Lundeen (Jeff Flight), Tristan Sturm, Liz Farries, Clinton (Angie) Sturm, Briana Bateman and Danielle Bateman; step grandsons, Braedan Dunne and Brett Dunne; great grandchildren, Louis Lundeen, Ruby Lundeen, Iris Sturm, Bentley Derkson and Charlie Derkson. Harold is predeceased by his parents Alice and Ben Sturm; his two sisters, Evelyn Freeburn, Marjorie Kanyok and his daughter Darcelle Lundeen. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM, on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
