She is predeceased by her parents Jack and Ione Winkler and a grandson, Bronson. Marilyn was born in Taber, Alberta on June 15, 1954. She married her husband, Rod, in 1978 and they spent 40 wonderful years together. Marilyn’s life revolved around her family, from hosting weekly family dinners, taking her family on vacations, and cheering at nearly every event her children and grandchildren participated in. She rarely missed an opportunity to support her children and grandchildren. All her family members will tenderly cherish her memory. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Marilyn served her church and community in many capacities. Other pastimes of Marilyn included quilting, shopping, cooking, and chocolate making. She loved chatting with friends and sharing stories and had a talent for remembering details. Her family would like to thank the healthcare providers at the Chinook Regional Hospital and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for their care and compassion during her treatments.
