June Jasman

1932 – 2019

Mrs. June Jasman of Lundbreck, beloved wife of the late Mr. Les Jasman, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 86 years. June was born in North Battleford Saskatchewan in 1932. In 1950, she married Les Jasman and they had three children; Laverne, Grant and Leona. When June and Les were first married they lived in Lethbridge then moved to Fort Macleod, Magrath, and Raymond. In 1968 they bought a ranch near Lundbreck, Alberta, and she lived there until 2010. She was actively involved in every aspect of the farming and ranching and loved it all. After her husband passed away, she decided to travel, and she visited almost every place in the world! June was an avid quilter and would always help with making the quilts for the United Church women’s raffles in Pincher Creek. She was very involved with the United Church, The Red Hat Club, and Senior’s Centres in Lundbreck and Pincher Creek. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to take them fishing. When she wasn’t traveling, she was off visiting with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. June is survived by her daughter Laverne (Roger) Langlois of Lethbridge, and her son Grant (Valerie) Jasman of Lundbreck; sisters Doreen Seeman, Beryl (Don) Orr, and Marcia (Brent) Seely grandchildren Shawn Johnson, Bryce Owen, Rena Brown, Candice Jasman, Kristie Sitter, Brittany Small, Chelsie Sutherland; 8 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Besides her loving husband Les, June was predeceased by her daughter Leona Jasman; grandson Darcy Johnson and son in law Roger Owen. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610- 4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta, Reverend Terry Shillington, officiating.
