COOKE

1963 – 2019

LAUREL ANNE LACROIX COOKE passed away suddenly at St. Michael’s Health Centre, a sad victim of a rapidly-progressing cancer.

Her caring family and many loving friends will greatly miss her. As a trusted employee of H & R Block, Lethbridge, Laurel was a hard worker and enjoyed the challenge of completing income tax returns accurately and promptly.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lethbridge for most of her life, Laurel’s Memorial Service will be held at the KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES, 5 – Rocky Mountain Blvd. W, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 2:00 P.M.

  1. Peggy Schramm says:

Laurel was a great friend when we were children. She had the kindest heart ever. I’m sorry to hear she was taken by cancer. RIP Laurel.

  2. Paulette Klym says:

Laurel was a fantastic person. We met when my family moved to Lethbridge. She and Mark were instantly in love with our 3 year old and infant son. Soon we were everywhere together. I started working at Sears at her instigation and we enjoyed working together. My husband had been sick quite frequently but Laurel and Mark could be counted on to come pick up the kids or have them dropped off at any hour of the day so I could be at the hospital. Soon they added Dannie to their family and the boys were best of friends. So many cheap pizza nights on Fridays along with cards with as many people as could fit in whichever house. We moved shortly thereafter back to Manitoba . Laurel who had said she would never make the trip actually came to visit 3 times. Oh the laughs we shared. How our stomachs hurt from laughing. Oh Laurie you are so missed. I look forward to seeing you again in the not to distant future when all things are new. Love ya Chickie.
