KORMOS

ZOLTEN JOHN KORMOS, the beloved husband of Cheryl (Seward) Kormos, passed away peacefully at the age of 79, on Friday, November 22nd, 2019 at 4:30 A.M. at the Chinook Regional Hospital.

John is survived by his wife, Cheryl, nephew Ron (Sharon) Kormos and niece Marie (Bob) Halvorson, and his great- nephews Ryan (Amber) Kormos and family, and Darren (Stephanie) Kormos and family.

John & Cheryl spent many enjoyable years at their cabin at Duck Lake, Montana, farming in Nobleford and some winters in Yuma and summers at EZK RV Park in Rexford, Montana while fishing at Lake Koocanusa for the “big” six-inch Kokanee salmon.

John retired from the Lethbridge Correctional Institute after 29 years of service.

He enjoyed music and played the accordion in a band for many years.

John enjoyed hunting with his brother, nephew, and great- nephew. They enjoyed going up north for moose and above all on these trips he loved their Hungarian bacon roasts.

John loved his animals. Over the years he had three yellow labs, a Patterdale Terrier named Coco and now their favorite Chihuahua Terrier cross called Bingo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lethbridge Animal Shelter: 2405 – 41 Street North, Lethbridge, AB T1H 5W3.

A Graveside Service will be held at MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY (Scenic Drive) on Thursday, November 28th at 11:00 A.M. Those wishing to attend meet at the main entrance by the Eternal Flame.
