WHITNEY

PATRICIA ANN “PAT” WHITNEY passed away peacefully on December 20, 2019 at home due to a recent fall and an ongoing battle with COPD.

Pat was born on April 21, 1942, in Camrose, AB to John & Irene Lidberg. She attended school in Meeting Creek, AB and took her Nursing Aide training in Calgary. She later worked at the hospital in Cardston until her retirement. Pat enjoyed reading a good book and doing word searches.

Pat is survived by her husband, Gordon Whitney; her step-son, Jamie (Erin) Whitney of Lethbridge; her grandchildren, Lexy, Alex, Jaxen, Chelsea and Grant; her siblings, Don of Camrose, and Carmel of Calgary; as well as her niece and nephews, Lara, Lyle, Miles, and Bari. She is also survived by a multitude of cousins and family from Saskatchewan.

Pat was predeceased by her parents, John & Irene.

A Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend John Estabrooks officiating.

A Reception with the family will follow the Service.

    I’m so sorry for your loss she was such an amazing person,a bright light a free spirit and one of the most wonderful kindest nurses I ever worked with.
