  1. Judy Grant says:

I don’t know if you will remember me, the tall nurse who used to visit Al. I wanted to tell you how much your Mum’s kindness, love and wonderful faith touched me in those days. There were many miracles of answered prayer during that time. There is no doubt in my mind where she is now. I will never forget her. My heartfelt condolences to the family and close friends.

  2. Gary Shiels says:

Since my mom Sophie Shiels had a bad fall which left her in a nursing home, Verna and I had many long conversations. From how much she loved and missed my mother, to how much she loved her family and how well she was taken care of by her care givers and her very much loved family. I had met her when I was very young, but when we talked it was like we were the best friends ever. Her and Al were introduced by my father Ray and my mother Sophie way back when and the four were then the best of friends. Almost family and they all spoke so very highly of Verna and Al. My parents are gone now and were I am sure enjoying time with Al. And tho Verna loved her life here with her children, she wanted so much to back with Al and the gang. Well it hurts to see them go, but she is now where she wanted to be, and that was with Al and her best friend. I am sorry for your loss, but she is in a very good place with many others watching out for her. My sincere condolences for your loss.

    Gary and Aleksandra Shiels
