BROWN

BARBARA M. BROWN, the beloved wife of the late Raymond Brown of Picture Butte, passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at the age of 74 years, due to complications from surgery.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Barbie (Cory) Brown of Lethbridge, her granddaughters, Melissa Kitt of Calgary and Bri (Tyler) Duell of Lethbridge, and her great- grandsons, Damon & Leo. She is also survived by her brother Edward (Jesse) Malberg and family, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, and her precious cats’ Squeaker and Shorty.

Besides her husband Ray, Barb was predeceased by her best friend & sister, Pat Noltette, brother-in-law Bud, son-in-law Darren, and parents, Ted & Fern Malmberg.

Barb was a hairdresser in Picture Butte for over 51 years both in her home and later at the Piyami Lodge. She also was a courier driver for Picture Butte Carriers for over 20 years part-time which she did enjoy very much. After retirement mom would go to the lodge and visit with numerous friends, especially Mabel, who mom said was like a second mom to her.

A special thank you to her nieces & nephews & their families for everything they did for mom, Terrianne, Shannon, Dennis and an extra-special thank you to Dianne, who was always there no matter what time, day or night.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date once all her family and friends will be able to attend.

Donations in Barb’s memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
