His last employment was at Taber Home and Farm Center where he worked for 20 years. Bob was dedicated to his community. As an avid sports fan he volunteered to coach hockey, baseball, softball and was a long time member of the Hockey Hounds Organization.

Bob is survived by his son Kevin (Shawn) Hamilton; daughter Tracy (Hermann) Nell; grandchildren Dexter (Erin), Dalyce, Talita (Matthew), Esmé (Scott), Thandi; great-grandchildren Drew and Randi; brothers and sisters Don (Faye), Pat (Carol), Nan (Dave), Greg, Brent, Lori (Kelly) and Jerry (Liz); brother-in-law Gary (Gladys) Blackwell; sister-in-law Carol Blackwell and many nieces and nephews.
