Barry Aleman

1961 – 2020

“Be still and know that I am God..”

– Psalm 46:10a

The Lord, in His infinite wisdom and at His time, suddenly took from my side, my beloved husband, a dear father and grandfather on July 2, 2020, at the age of 59 years.

Barry was born and raised in the Park Lake area. He was a man of strength who instilled the importance of family and faith. He loved spending time at home and sharing special moments with his sons. Barry enjoyed a long career in the trucking industry and his companionship will be missed by many.

Barry will leave to mourn his loving wife Ruth Aleman; sons, Tony (Carolynn) {Hailey, Cameron, Marissa, Tianna}, Kevin (Jacki) {Blake, Keith}, Bart (Rachelle) {Barrett}, and Ryan (Kelcey).

He is survived by his sisters, Anita (Ben) Oudshoorn, Corina (Matt) Grisnich and Wendy (Gary) Aleman; mother in law, Gery Grisnich, Tony and Nellie Kreft, Frank and Joanne Brilman, Dale and Joan Sullivan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Barry was predeceased by his parents, Cornelius (Casey) and Jantje (Jenny) Aleman, brothers Tony and Ken Aleman, and father in law Neil Grisnich.

Ruth, I cannot express my shock when I heard about Barry’s passing, and I immediately thought of you and your family. We wish you comfort, not just from your loved ones, but from above. I pray this trial will bring you closer to God, and that your favourite place will be at the feet of Jesus. Although your pain and grief will continue, you will find solace weeping at His feet.
As the days go on and everything keeps going, the loss and change will become more intense, but Christ offers comfort and peace. Lean on Him as He gives you faith to do so, and may you be a strong testimony of His grace. I pray God will be pleased to answer the prayers that many have prayed for you and your family.
