GARDA THOMPSON (nee STANLEY) passed away in Abbotsford Hospital on June 24, 2020, at the age of 71.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard on Dec. 31, 2018 and predeceased by her dad George Stanley May 9, 1999 and mum Catherine Stanley May 6, 2006. Garda will be lovingly remembered by her 3 sons Dean (Theresa) of Orillia, Ont., Daylon of Langley, BC., Sid of Langley, BC., 2 beautiful grandchildren: Wyatt and Jaylon of Orillia Ont., two brothers and a sister: Wayne (Loretta) of Coaldale, Lynne (Jarvey) of Lethbridge, Kerry (Jan) of Blairmore. Many nieces, nephews and foster children.
Garda was born in Lethbridge and was the most beautiful person ever. She was kind, loving and giving. She will be missed and forever loved by family and friends. Her bright light gone out way too soon. Our hearts are torn apart, nothing will close the hole in my heart or heal the pain that I feel for losing you sis. There will be a memorial announced at a later date.
Garda, I came to your old house today to see you after quite some time of not keeping in touch, finding out you have passed. My heart is so sad. You were such a lovely woman and I will always remember your kindness and patience you had with Angie and I!

Garda, this is Taryn you and Richard took care of my brother Tanner and i for about a year back in 2011 you guys were the best foster parents anyone could ever ask for I just wanted to say thanks for everything you did for us I think about you all of the time i really miss you both i found out last year that you and Richard had passed and i could not believe it it broke my heart 💔
