RASMUSSEN, Wendy Marie
1958 – 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wendy Marie Rasmussen of Lethbridge, Alberta. Wendy passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the age of 61 years, after a short illness.
Wendy is survived by her brother Keith (Sandy) Rasmussen of Lethbridge, her sister Connie Vaessen of Lethbridge, nieces Krystal (Jason) Varoney, and Kelsey Vaessen of Fort McMurray, plus nephews Brandon Rasmussen of Fort McMurray, and Jordon Vaessen and his son Levi of Calgary.
She was predeceased by her parents Catherine and A.L. Rasmussen.
Wendy was born, raised, educated, and worked in Lethbridge her entire life. She truly loved her immediate family, extended family, and all of her friends very much. She enjoyed music and played the flute and drums. You could often find Wendy at local music festivals, playing the drums.
She had a loving relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ, and would quote the words found in John 3:16; “For God so loved the world, He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life”.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Edith Cavell Care Centre where Wendy lived, to the nurses, doctors and specialists at Chinook Regional Hospital, to Dr. Mona Cassis for the care she has given Wendy over the years, and also to Christie and Dan at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home.
A private family interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery on Saturday, August 1st, at 11:00 am.

i’m so sorry to hear about the passing of Wendy. It was a couple of years ago that i had talked with her on the passing of Raymond. I hope every one else is doing OK now. Doug
