Cecile Chute

1927 – 2020

Cecile Marie Chute (Bouchard) of Coaldale, Alberta, beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Chute, passed away peacefully at home with family on Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 at the age of 93 years.

Cecile was born in Edmonton to Samuel Bouchard and Yvonne Bouchard (Quesnel) on May 26, 1927. She attended school in Legal and the Edmonton area. She worked at a bakery for a number of years and after meeting the love of her life she began working along with him in his family’s store and post office. They were married on November 6, 1952 after dating for several years.

After starting their family in Edmonton, they moved to Calgary where their last two children were born. They raised their family in Calgary where they lived for 53 years. In the latter part of their retirement they moved to Coaldale and continued their 69 loving years together. She remained at home even after Jack’s passing 6 months prior.

Cecile is survived by her 3 Children Rory M. Chute, Bonny-Anne (Chuck) Bent (Chute) and Timothy J. Chute; as well as 12 grandchildren, Jay (Jessica) Chute , John (Mel) Chute, Teri (Don) Suel, Lisa (Phil) Marasco, Patricia (Dan) Doherty, Donald (Brittany) Bent, Samantha (Jared) Johnson, Joseph (Danielle) Chute, Marie (Brady) Armstrong, Peter Chute, Theresa (Garth) Chute, Anthony Chute; along with 13 Great Grandchildren Riley, Gwendolyn, Carter, Hunter, Arya, Liam, Alaina, Natalie, Quinn, Amara, Victoria, Spencer, and Ellie.

Cecile will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a multitude of friends.

Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00pm, on Friday, August 14, 2020, at ST. AMBROSE PARISH, 1513 23rd Ave, Coaldale, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at ST. AMBROSE PARISH, 1513 23rd Ave, Coaldale, Alberta, with Father Ian Gagne celebrant. Internment to be held at a later date.

Due to the restrictions in place from the Chief Medical Officer of Health – the Funeral Service will be limited to 90 attendees. Including family and Funeral Home Staff. Masks are required inside the church, please provide your own.
